Privacy & Confidentiality

Counselling sessions are strictly confidential, the only times your information could be shared would be during supervision with a supervisor for professional development reasons and to ensure I continue to maintain high stands of practice or when there are immediate concerns about you or someone else's safety. This is a legal requirement and my duty to prevent harm.  If at all possible, I will talk this through you before acting.

Sometimes, I may need to record a session. This is for me to review and critique my practice to ensure I am practicing safely and to provide the best service I can. This will only happen when it has been made clear and the persons involved have given their permission and consent.

Judy's work is bound by the Code of Ethics for the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and the New Zealand Christian Counsellors Association. You can contact them if you have any concerns.
